How to use our Battery System Sizing Chart
Our Battery System Sizing Chart is meant to assist you in choosing a battery system size that meets your needs and goals. This chart is not perfect and should be used more as a general guide, rather than absolute truth. This chart assumes that the battery system will be paired with an existing or future solar array sized to at least 75% offset and that the solar will be producing on a daily basis. This chart also assumes that your home circuits will be (120V) using 1-3 kWh of energy on an hourly basis.
Large (240V) appliances, such as central air conditioners, electric water heaters, Level 2 EV chargers and well pumps use substantially more energy (2-5x) more than basic (120V) home circuits. If you plan on backing up these appliances, it is recommended to increase the battery system size accordingly.
